We're in the business of de-mystifying technology and making the user happy. So while it would be great for us to gain your business, there are some other ways you might be able solve your technology problems; all for free. Here are some quick tips and tricks that might save you the headache of a phonecall.

  • For issues with Microsoft related products, check out their IT help pages. These pages are in an easy to navigate format, often with step-by-step instructions on how to troubleshoot and solve your woes.
  • If you have problems with a device that connects to your laptop or desktop (wirelssly, USB, or other) check to see if the drivers are updated to their most recent release. The manufacturer website should have a page dedicated just to this and it is a good first place to look.
  • On the contrary, if a device suddenly stops working after an update, try to revert to the last good setting. This is known as rolling back the driver.
  • Secure your Wi-Fi! This will help to prevent unauthorized users from bogging down (or worse, getting into) your home network.
